What we're after
Photos and films that feel like love.
Why we started
We started Like Love because of something we kept noticing at other people's weddings. The photography was often technically lovely and quietly intrusive — a couple being moved around a lawn, asked to laugh again, holding a pose until the light was right. Beautiful pictures of two people who look faintly like strangers.
A bride who is shy does not become less shy because there is a camera in her face. And a couple who love the camera shouldn't be handed the same restrained, tasteful coverage as everyone else. Neither approach is wrong. Using the same one on every couple is.
Underneath every wedding is a feeling that has nothing to do with the schedule — the way one of you looks at the other when they aren't looking back, the breath before the vows, a hand that quietly finds the other in all the noise. That is where the love actually lives, and it never arrives on cue. Our whole job is to be close enough, and quiet enough, to catch it when it surfaces — and to do it without ever making you perform it.
Everything else follows from it. We plan around light, we shoot photo and film from the same brief so the album and the film feel like one day, and we edit in-house — a preview gallery within a week, the full set in six, the film soon after.
Kerala and Bengaluru, mostly. Wherever your story takes us, gladly.
